I like economics and the challenges of the financial industry, but what gets me out of bed every day is the chance to connect with people.
Over the years, I’ve worked a number of different jobs — everything from trades to my current position as a Wealth Advisor. That exposure to people from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, and the stories and knowledge they shared with me, honed my empathetic and listening skills at a young age. I have a knack for allowing our clients to open up about their motivations and fears (a little humor never hurts when talking about tough topics). Once they feel safe and heard, we can tackle nearly any subject and create a plan that will work for them. Piecing together that human puzzle is the most rewarding part of my job.
I work with individual clients, but I also help companies design and manage their retirement plans. Whether I’m acting on behalf of one person or an entire team, I keep the focus on creating sustainable behaviors that will lead to long-term prosperity. As a longtime Idahoan, I feel pretty lucky to help future generations create their own stable futures in this state.
I grew up in McCall and I still spend as much time as possible in the Idaho outdoors. My wife and I enjoy introducing our two young daughters to the Northwest, from the Oregon Coast to our national parks, through travels in our family’s camper.
